About Us
We are a team from OOEHS, Sharjah, participating in the Global Social Leaders program hosted by United Nations. We aim to reduce consumption and wastage of used paper in households by being innovative with them.
We teach our volunteers to create paper toys from the paper. We then use these toys as educational tools and fun equipment for young children.
Why reuse paper?
Time to go green and clean
Paper is one of our most valuable resources. From packaging to school notebooks, these products are a vital part of our daily lifestyles. But mass production of paper inevitably leads to all sorts of complications: consequences of deforestation, substantial amounts of water, energy, and so on.
Reusing of paper is an excellent alternative to reduce the drawbacks. It would reduce the unhealthy greenhouse gas emissions and control the rate global warming and there would be more space in landfills-paper accounts for 26% of landfills globally.
